in Just- spring

Spring has now {perhaps officially?} arrived here. The skies are blue and the air is fine and mild. Of course, whenever this weather arrives, I think of the following poem by E.E. Cummings, and so I must share and re-share it here every year—because I love it, and because what would spring be without a goat-footed balloonMan?

The following is a scan from the book Selected Poems by E.E. Cummings, edited by Richard S. Kennedy. The poem is split over two pages, hence the two scanned parts below. Enjoy!

–by the great E.E. Cummings

Thank you, Nicoleverblue, for re-sharing this e.e. cummingspring!

I’ve been spoiled with an early spring — in Greece! Here are a few radiant photos from Sounio (the southernmost tip of Attica):

Oh spring, I do love it! But I am on the other side of it, and am thinking about which bulbs to plant. Isn’t e.e cummings always delightful?

I’m finally caught up! I just spent an hour reading back over the posts I missed while I was on my blog -reading hiatus. You’ve been so busy! And how nice to end on e.e. – my favorite!
