Monday Inspiration & Etcetera

Hello! Happy new week to you! Happy almost April to you! Happy sunshiney day to us here in Davis, California! We deserve it—it has been so gray and rainy for many days, the sunshine is cheering my heart!

I drew/doodled these diamonds at the end of last week—I had some little scraps of paper that were just asking to be drawn on. They were fun to draw. I like to imagine a sky full of diamonds like this.

What else can I share with you today that is inspiring?

1) Well, don’t you know it—April’s Oprah Magazine is centered around poetry! And I almost died when I saw inside it an interview with none other than Mary Oliver, one of my favorite poets! Oh, she is so beautiful in this interview—she’s 75 and still wandering and wondering in the world. I aspire to be like that! I just noticed that the interview is also on the Oprah website if you’d like to take a look.

2) We’ve been having lots of good eats over here—my husband made some belly-warming potato leek soup yesterday for lunch {the leeks looked gorgeous at the farmer’s market} and felafel are on the menu for tonight. Yum!

3) I was included in a round up of geometry-inspired creative works over at the website Lark Crafts! Go take a look at all of the beautiful geometric items! Who doesn’t love a triange!? You know I do!

What’s inspiring you right now! I hope you have a lovely sunshining week!
