Following Where My Creative Brain Takes Me

Lately, dozens of drawing ideas have been dancing in my head! It’s like I’m making up for lost time—the time I spent this summer making prints and vacationing and moving {instead of drawing}. My drawing brain is back with a vengeance now, and I’m letting it do the leading.

Sadly this has been sliding some other things into the hold position {like my new second blog The Possibility Path}. But it is a beautiful thing to follow your creative brain—it’s all flying high and running with scissors {or perhaps more accurately, running with pens}. Specifically, I’ve got little art books on the brain—little collections of words and drawings, just the right size to fit in the palm of your hand. These ideas seem to be falling out of the sky on me these days. I can take a {subtle} hint—I will go forth and make them!

What creative ideas have been fluttering around you these days?

Happy making!

I know what you mean! When the ideas are coming, you just have to follow, or they will disappear.

Accompanying myself on the guitar while reciting one or two poems at the next poetry reading I give.
