Talking about the Weather, and a Teaser

It’s been all cool breezes, wandering clouds, and spring rain over here these days. I am soaking up every second of it because I know that soon we will shift into the hot season (high 90s and low 100s) for three solid months. In fact the weather has been so extraordinary that my husband and I have been going around pinching ourselves—“Could this really be late May in Davis, California?” May is usually a bit up and down with the weather, but really it’s been feeling like wondrous fall—my favorite season. I’m not complaining one bit—I love it to death. Even when I end up getting rained on while riding my bike, I say to the sky, “It’s OK, thank you for this cool weather.”

We’re heading to the coast for this long Memorial Day weekend. Point Reyes National Seashore to be exact. We’re still having some difficulty with lodging for the first night (campsites are all filled up), but we’ll be in Point Reyes for sure on Sunday and Monday. I’m looking forward to relaxing and taking a break—away from the to-do lists of home.

Today, I’m just hanging out in my studio/office trying to get through a list of things I’ve been neglecting for ages. I’m also working on a new project (an idea I’ve been neglecting for ages). Here’s a little teaser:

What could it be? Perhaps a book of some sort? You’ll have to wait and find out!

For now, I’m wishing you a relaxing weekend full of lounging and spending time with people you love. Full of expansive skies and time to watch wandering clouds. Happy weekend!
