Easter Fun

I love decorating Easter eggs—it is perhaps one of the most fun holiday crafts to me! I’m just getting back to art-work today after a long weekend on the coast celebrating Easter with my husband’s family, and I thought I’d share the products of our egg decorating this year.

My sister-in-law Nicole and I (yes, we are coincidentally both named Nicole) spent quite some time developing elaborate techniques using tape. There were some semi-failures (but really, how badly can you fail at decorating an egg?), but here are our favorites:

I got the idea for using tape from Indie Fixx, but really, Nicole took it to a whole new level—and she says she’s not creative!!??? You know what I think about that—it’s a bunch of hogwash—EVERYONE’S CREATIVE—and these eggs are evidence. The one who says she is NOT creative made half of these (and honestly, I think the best half), including the cutest one, front left, that is an Easter dragon, complete with jagged spikes on the back. Three cheers for Easter as an excuse to be creative!
