Art Shop Keeping

The longer I continue with my online art business, the more I realize that everything is a work-in-progress, and there will always be opportunities to improve on things over time.

In the past year and a half, since I really got going with my online shop, I’ve accumulated about 150 items for sale. Granted, some of these are both original and print of the same illustration, but even so, sometimes it’s a lot to manage when I want to go back and improve my item listings. But slowly, slowly (and with occasional jolts of energy), I persevere, and this week it’s a goal of mine to really work on adding extra pictures to my shop and updating the written listings.

Today, I started with the pictures. Most of my drawing and print listings have consisted of only one scanned image to represent them, so now I’m trying to add some more varied photos. Here are some new pictures of old favorites:

“The Blooming Snow” print (find it here)

I’m especially loving this print right now because the trees here are starting to bloom again!

“Ride Bikes” print—one of my classics! (find it here)

“Keep a Journal” print (find it here)

“Open Up” print (find it here)

“Try to Understand Other People” print (find it here)

These are just a few of many, many photos—I will be working on this project all this week, and beyond. I’m excited to be giving lookers some more to look at, and I’m happy to be improving my shop little by little. Oh, it’s good to be a turtle! Happy Monday!

And not so bad just to do one project at a time until they’re all done. Sometimes I get ahead of myself before I’m finished.

Oh! Thanks for saying “it’s good to be a turtle”… I was feeling bad because I can’t work faster in my paintings and illustrations. But, it’s better I do everything little by little. :)

I love your “The Blooming Snow”!
Those flowers are so cute. :)
