I am Thankful

“I am Thankful,” 8 x 10 inches, pen and ink, prints available in my shop

A new drawing for you today! I thought up these words while on a walk in the sunshine last week, after too many days of gray weather. Ah, the sunshine, I love it so!

As I’ve been saying recently, I’m pretty excited to get back to doing some individual drawings, after working on my longer book projects (TriangleLove and Black Hole) for so long. This is my first individual drawing in quite some time, and it felt good to make it, especially since the topic is so close to my heart.

The weather has been absolutely crazy this week—wild, gusting rain and wind for the past few days. I have to say, I am actually also thankful for the rain—it has been quite a nature show outside my window—I love watching the trees bending and blowing in the wind and hearing the rain (although I could use a little break in the rain for more walks). Here’s to nature today!

A drawing and a morning prayer, all in one!

I love these words, and I agree with Mike, it does sound like a little prayer.

I love this so much! We can never have too much thanks in our hearts for the things that make our feet sing!
